A Message from our local

Safer Neighbourhood Team:

I am appealing for volunteers to join your local Ward Panel in Brockley. There is no experience in ward panels required. We want people who are in touch with their local community and willing to be a voice for them. We would like people who live, work or volunteer in the Brockley Ward to take part.

The commitment we are asking is to attend 3 or 4 meetings a year. These meetings are one of the options available to discuss any concerns you and your community have with the police. They are currently held virtually using a computer or smartphone and we can assist in getting you set up if you require help.

The meetings last about an hour and consist of input from the Supervisor of your Local Policing Team (Safer Neighbourhoods Team) who will provide you with information on crime data, issues the police are aware of and updates on progress from previous meetings. There is then opportunity for Ward Panels members (you) to bring issues to the meeting and the attention of the police. The Panel as a whole will then decide on policing priorities for the coming period.

It is important that all members of the community are represented and heard and that these meetings are representative of the community.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday 8th April 2021please contact Jonathan.Coupe@met.police.uk to register your interest and receive an invite.

Many thanks
